Few people can continue a series and make the other books as good as the first. George R. R. Martin however, has pulled this off.
At a few points I did get bored, yes, but there's so many plots and subplots to follow it's hard to stay bored for long. I'm even more in love with the characters now, although there are still quite a few I'm on the fence about, and of course some that I hate. It's becoming harder to distinguish who really is the evil side now, but so many interesting things are happening.
The only thing that really annoyed me, was the fact it was only the second book in the series, so nothing was resolved. There's loads of cliffhangers and now I have to go order the next book off Amazon.
All in all, a great book and a promising series.
