We Need to Talk About Kevin - Lionel Shriver, Kate Mosse I was really excited to read this book. I thought it was going to be one of those really thought provoking studies of character, and in some ways it was, but then other times...
She really knows how to talk doesn't she? Eva goes on and on and on.... and I'll have read a page, go back over it and realise it added nothing to the story. This occurred many times.

I gave up on the book because I scrolled through some reviews and encountered a spoiler that basically told me the ending. Now, I usually have no problem with knowing the end of a book. I often read the last page whilst still halfway through. With most books, I can carry on reading because I know other stuff will happen before the end. With this book, I feel like now I know the ending there's not much point carrying on since the last 100 pages or so that I had left won't make much of a difference.

And so, I quit this book.
